- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide instruction in a selfcontained classroom setting.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of students with Developmental Delays (DD) or Intellectual Delays (ID).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school administrators.
- Use various teaching techniques to promote positive behavior and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress and development.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Experience working with elementaryaged students (K2 or 35) in a selfcontained classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of developmental and intellectual delays.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
