    We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Management Consultant to support The U.S.

    Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) mission efforts to address the nation's Cold War environmental legacy resulting from decades of nuclear weapons production and government-sponsored nuclear energy research.


    Work Description:
    The U.S.

    Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) mission is to address the nation's Cold War environmental legacy resulting from decades of nuclear weapons production and government-sponsored nuclear energy research.

    Created in 1989, EM has the responsibility for completing the cleanup of this Cold War legacy and managing the remaining nuclear materials.

    As the largest environmental cleanup program in the world with a budget of approximately $8 billion per year, EM has been charged with the responsibility of cleaning up 107 sites across the country.

    In support of this program, the Senior Management Consultant to the EM Chief of Staff will perform a wide variety of senior level tasks to support the EM Office of Assistant Secretary, specifically the Assistant Secretary (EM-1) and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (EM-2), in a dynamic environment.

    The work scope requires a highly focused, results-oriented, independent individual capable of taking oral and written direction, with excellent interpersonal skills in communicating with high-level management and technical personnel.


    Responsibilities:
    The Senior Management Consultant will provide support in the following areas:
    Supervise creation of the daily book for EM-1 and EM-2.
    Attend Weekly EM Collaboration Meetings to take notes and provide input on actions regarding EM-1 and EM-2 schedules.
    Run weekly calendar discussions and resolve scheduling issues.
    Supervise the creation of a daily materials book for Chief of Staff.
    Attended routine internal meetings to act for EM-1 and EM-2.
    Run morning huddles daily for EM Leadership Team.
    Prepare or supervise preparation of trip books for EM-1 and EM-2 domestic and international travel.
    Function as the office manager for EM.
    Assist the BluePath project manager and coordinating schedules for executive assistants.


    Minimum Requirements:
    U.S. Citizenship
    Bachelor's Degree
    11+ years of related experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability as a subject matter expert or successful senior level performer.
    Expert level proficiency in Office 365 Productivity Suite to include Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    Excellent scheduling management capabilities to support coordination for EM-1 and EM-2.
    Full knowledge/expert level of Adobe tools and mechanisms including editing, document combining and organization, and pdf conversions.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's Degree
    Significant DOE experience.

    Significant expert experience such that a highly skilled individual who has an acquired, acknowledged, and/or technological expertise in the specific functional tasks required for performance in an individual task order.

    Ability to obtain DOE L clearance may be required.
