- Work within a cross functional scrum team to define test strategy and high quality test cases for new and revised features under development.
- Define test plans and report out on progress.
- Work in parallel with development to provide fast feedback on changes to system and software.
- Work with developers, systems engineers and manual test engineers to review requirements and specifications.
- Securing software requirement testability in our development projects and delivers high quality test cases to verify software functionality.
- Develop software under medical device standards and regulations (e.g. IEC-62304)
Experience and Skills: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years' experience testing software, design and planning techniques for medical systems and devices or in other regulated industry
- Proficiency in at least one higher level programming language (C++ or C# and Python)
- Knowledge of medical device software standards: ISO 17025, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 QMS
- Applied experience testing native applications and hardware
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of agile software development methodology
- Working knowledge of the medical device industry
- Have coached and mentored other team members (testers and developers)

In this highly accomplished, deeply technical and close-knit team of Zap engineers, you will help create tools that are used by neurosurgeons, oncologists and physicists to give the best treatment to their patients.
Our team builds software that power amazingly intelligent user experiences for neurosurgeons. We are looking for new energetic members to join our software team. In this role, you will develop a robust test automation framework for the Zap Planning and Delivery system that includes algorithms, dose computation, visualization, UI and back-end services. Zap-X is a high precision robot that weighs over 25 tons and has an accuracy of better than 1.0 mm. Achieving that accuracy is no small feat and requires an amazing engineering effort and a thorough understanding of the entire system in excruciating detail. You will also have the opportunity to engage with other engineering and research teams at Zap including the planning, cloud, linear accelerator and radio-modulation team.
