Houston, Texas (Hybrid, Onsite T-R)
The ideal candidate will be tasked with designing, developing, implementing, and supporting real-time LabVIEW application systems to address business, informational, and technical requirements.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of LabVIEW programming experience (2018 or newer) with a background in Physics or Engineering
- Strong track record in developing real-time applications with connectivity to diverse industrial protocols
- Experience in configuring data acquisition systems such as OPC/UA, Modbus, cRIO, Ethernet, etc.
- Knowledge of cRIO 906X and cRIO 903X models (Linux-based)
- Hands-on experience with NI Network Streams
- Expertise in implementing and optimizing feedback control systems (PID)
- Familiarity with NI-XNET drivers for CAN frames/signals reading and writing
- Experience working on large-scale LabVIEW projects
- Practical experience in collecting data from sensors and measurement devices
- Experience in specifying various I/O modules from the NI product line
- Knowledge of real-time communication and messaging protocols
- Familiarity with TFS 2012 source code control
- Understanding of JKI VI Package Manager
- Experience in using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in delivering technical and non-technical presentations
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent with 7+ years of LabVIEW experience, or 10+ years of LabVIEW software development
- Dev Ops exposure
- Strong troubleshooting skills (software & basic electrical)
- Effective documentation skills
- Travel may be required (%)
- Familiarity with C#, Python, MATLAB, and other languages beneficial but not mandatory
