    The ASC Radiology Technician performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

    Typical schedule for this staff member is 6:30am - 3:30pm with rotating late days.

    We are a single specialty ASC with flexibility of staffing, NO call, NO holidays and NO regularly scheduled weekends.

    We are looking for someone who can:

    • Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
    • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician
    • Move imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
    • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
    • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopy during surgery and procedures
    • Assist physician in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
    • Measure and mix contrast media
    • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
    • Prepare images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician
    • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating room or at patient's bedside

    Requirements

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • One (1) year direct experience
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) Certification
    • Licensed in the state of Tennessee as a Medical X-ray Operator
    PREFERRED
    • 3 years' experience with fluoroscopy including neurosurgery (or equivalent) and pain procedures
