The role of a part-time psychiatrist at Precise Behavioral, Inc. involves providing support onsite at an inpatient psychiatric unit to 10-15 adult patients, evaluation, ensuring mental health treatment, and rounding. This role is 1-2 weekends per month plus on-call.

Qualifications:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations of adult patients
• Provide mental health treatment and support to patients
• Round on patients at an inpatient psychiatric unit
• Work both on-site at location in San Bernardino, CA and on-call
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements in psychiatry
• Place/discontinue/extending psychiatric holds as needed
• Utilize EMR systems specifically Cerner
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Collaborate with medical staff leadership
• Provide leadership in program development
• Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patients
• Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Prescribe medications as necessary
