Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer

Salary:
Up to $150k/yr.

Location:
Miamisburg, OH (mostly on-site)

Industry:

Employment Type:

6-month contract with ability to go permanent

Requirements:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of industry experience with power electronics systems such as motor drives, generators, AC/AC and DC/DC converters, and/or energy storage
PCB and Design experience REQUIRED
Proficiency in using design and calculation software such as Altium, KiCAD, SPICE, MATLAB, and Simulink for analog circuit design
Ability to obtain clearance

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including power conversion topologies (e.g., analog filters, transistor and op-amp circuits, interface circuits, signal conditioning, AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, AC/AC converters, and power supplies)
Large scale power conversion of 10 kW to 100s kW
Design electromagnetics for power applications
Design for high frequency/wide band gap power conversion
Design for high frequency, high power amplifiers
Lead technical electrical design efforts for projects in a multidisciplinary environment
Implement new technology from concept through detailed design
Communicate technical results, plans, and issues with internal and external customers, including presenting and writing reports and proposals
Design, develop, and troubleshoot custom PCBs and prototype embedded designs
Design and implementation of battery management system (BMS) and battery/power systems testing
