    Position Summary

    Assistant Director (AD), Nursing Education (NE) is primarily responsible for the operational health of the NE function.

    This role also provides support for the Director in the overall administrative leadership for the College's nursing programs.


    The AD provides support and mentorship to the other NE function leaders to ensure NE smooth operations of the division to ensure college metrics and learner outcomes are met.

    The incumbent is accountable for promoting and supporting an environment conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and growth, in alignment with the College's mission, values, guiding principles and other institutional frameworks.

    *Travel will be required a few times annually.


    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    A Doctorate in nursing and/or MBA or MHA from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred. A PhD or EdD will be considered
    Five years of full-time experience teaching nursing at the college level preferred
    Five years experience as an RN or Advance Practice Nursing preferred
    Leadership experience in education or business operations required
    Institutional or programmatic accreditation experience preferred
    The National League for Nursing's Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification preferred
    Project management, change management, communication management experience preferred
    Significant experience in development and administration of curricula, budgets, strategic plans, instructional design and delivery, instructional technology, and learner support and advising services in higher education preferred
    Excellent oral and written communication skills required
    Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills required
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
    Ability to utilize and effectively communicate data for effective decision making required
    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks as well as the ability to work well independently and within a team, on multiple projects, within a fast-paced environment required
    Knowledge of program review and the evaluation of policies and practices in applied settings as well as knowledge of computer-based statistical software programs and the interpretation of findings required
    All new hires are requiredto attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
