The patient care technician functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on physical psychosocial education safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of guests/patients served
- Provide effective safe guest/patient outcomes through practice judgment critical actions
- Ongoing communication with patients nursing colleagues other members of healthcare team regarding patients status rendered care
- Take selfdirected or selfmotivated initiative do more than expected required job acting before events improving performance creating new opportunities
- Participate interdisciplinary collaboration patients plan of carer admission discharge ensure safe transitioning continuum care
