    Position Summary


    The RN, Registered Nurse 10-Hr provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for Special Procedures at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

    • Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.     Minimum Requirements


    Qualifications/Work Experience:

    • Completion of pre-employment drug screening. Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check.
    • Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health.
    • One-year minimum experience in pediatric and/or women's hospital preferred.
    • The RN must be able to comply with the every other weekend work commitment as well as be available to work and be scheduled any day of the week.
    • Experienced Interventional Radiology, Critical Care or Emergency Department, excellent clinical assessment skills including but not limited to basic EKG interpretation, emergency drugs and treatment modalities, strong organizational and communication skills, can work independently and collaborate with others, creative problem solver, flexible and can adapt to work across multiple Radiology modalities - MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and General Radiology.
    • Previous experience in caring for sedated patient/anesthetized patient is a plus.
    • Available to take standby call after normal operating hours- Monday to Sunday, weekends and holidays.

    Education/Licensure/Certification:

    • BSN required or experienced RN in an accredited BSN program.
    • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
    • BLS via the American Heart Association
    • ACLS via the American Heart Association
    • PALS via the American Heart Association
    • Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation.
