    Description

    PRIMARY ROLE:

    Implements and coordinates the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Leads or assists in the preparation of accurate and timely bids and estimates.

    · Provides estimates for assigned projects.

    · Completes accurate and timely estimates.

    · Coordinate with purchasing for subcontractors included in estimates.

    · Performs detailed drawing and specifications review, detailed quantity takeoff and unit price estimating.

    · Lead new work procurement by producing and participating in estimates.

    · Work with manufacturing personnel to develop accurate forging and machining times and steps.

    · Work with operations staff during design development for estimating.

    · Use historical data to create accurate estimates.

    · Performs initial estimate of direct pricing items.

    · Meet established deadlines for work.

    · Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project authorization and requirements.

    · Orders tooling, fixtures, equipment, and gaging for assigned job.

    · Develop & maintain product design for compliance with engineering principles,

    · company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.

    · Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

    · Evaluates design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

    · Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.

    · Prepares and coordinates Program Management, including APQP, timing charts, documentation review and implementation.

    · Troubleshoots manufacturing related problems, including efficiency, process, and quality related concerns.

    · Investigates and implements cost savings measures.

    · Develop & maintain product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.

    · Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Bachelor's degree: or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    · Proficient with MS Office applications, Project Management software, Manufacturing software, ERP Software and Development software.

    · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

    · Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

    · Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or vendors. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, vendors, and employees.

    PROBLEM SOLVING

    Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    High comfort level with computer applications word, excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, 3D software.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
