    Pay Range:
    $ 24.58/hr - $ 27.78/hr - $ 31.45/hr *Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $ 27.78/hr, based on applicable experience


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    #The CV Technologist is responsible for reviewing and recoding pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data; performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter Monitoring and Stress Tests (treadmill) and obtaining a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician; and exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic services.# These tests are done at the request or direction of a physician and assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and blood vessel irregularities.# Other department responsibilities include routing completed reports and billing information, communication effectively with physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team.


    EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum:

    • Successful completion of a course of study in ECG or Arrhythmia detection/recognition or 6 months on the job training with specific training on ECG acquisition
    # Desired:


    • One year of related experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist (stress testing, ECG performance, Holter monitoring and Transtelephonic monitoring).
    • Pediatric experience LICENSES /

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    Minimum:

    • Current CPR recognition Desired:
    • Successful completion of the national certification examination (through the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute) desired SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE /

    ABILITIES:
    #Must demonstrate a working knowledge of non-invasive cardiovascular testing procedures (EKGs, Holter monitoring and Stress testing).# Must demonstrate organizational skills to perform effectively in a fast paced environment.# Must have the ability to perform data entry tasks.# Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.##
