    PROJECT MANAGER

    CANCER CENTER OF SOUTH FLORIDA

    WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

    HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with our client, Cancer Center of South Florida, in West Palm Beach. The newly created Project Manager position is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion to improve the efficiency and quality of the delivery output – oncology services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, managing change, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, if applicable, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

    The Cancer Center of South Florida provides personalized patient care with state-of-the-art medical treatments. Their devoted team of former Harvard Medical School faculty formed the Center to provide South Florida patients access to cutting-edge clinical trials and therapies. Two locations in Palm Beach County and a team of medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists focusing on providing world-class care in an academic setting. The Cancer Center of South Florida is committed to providing patients with the best care possible.

    Highlights & Qualifications:

  • The Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Network Development.
  • This newly created position will partner with key stakeholders in building and leading the construction process of a new Radiation Oncology Center.

    • Essential Functions:

  • Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for all aspects of assigned projects while considering the practice's unique requirements.
  • Establishes, leads, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution and communication.
  • Ensures projects adhere to healthcare industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identifies potential project risks, develops mitigation strategies to minimize delays or obstacles, escalates issues to leadership, and implements approved mitigation steps.
  • Maintains detailed project documentation, tracks progress in real-time, and provides regular reports to leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Coordinates meetings, project teams, and work groups.

    Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable relevant experience required.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent, i.e., CAPM, APM, MPM, Prince2) is preferred.

    • Experience Required:

  • At least three years of experience as a project manager, including successful project completion, preferably in a healthcare environment.
