RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologistsutilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within amagnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions ofthe body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.

MRtechnologists perform diagnostic Magnetic resonance examinations inaccordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidanceof the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patientcare to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics.

Qualifications:

MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:


Graduate of an AMA approvedRadiologic Technology program (ARRT) orcertified by the AmericanRegistry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:


A minimum of one (1) year experienceas a Radiology Technologist required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW:

Registered by the AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) or Certifiedby the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance ImagingTechnologists (ARMRIT).

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:


Advanced certification by theARRT in MRI (MR) preferred
Six (6) months MRItechnologist experience preferred
BLS certified
