    Job Summary
    This position is responsible for the day-to-day facility maintenance operations of the one distribution center located in Groveport, Ohio.


    A high degree of electrical and mechanical systems experience combined with a knowledge of all the construction trades is necessary.

    Additionally, hands on expertise of plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywalling, electrical and
    HVAC maintenance and operations is required.


    When necessary to hire outside contractors, coordinate with the Senior Facilities Manager and provide oversight of vendor performance, as directed.

    Some travel to our Green distribution center may be required.

    Responsibilities
    Hands on repair, maintenance, replacement, and / or oversight of service providers as needed of the following:

    Safety –

    Ensure facility stays in compliance with all OSHA and EPA requirements.

    Plumbing Systems
    Faucets
    Toilets
    Dishwashers
    Hot water tanks
    Restrooms
    Scrubber dump
    Water dispensing refrigerators
    Ice machines

    Partitions
    Plumbing fixtures
    Light Fixtures
    Dispensers

    Sprinkler system and pump system (including required system testing)
    Electrical
    Power switches
    Fuses
    Wall sockets
    Interior and exterior lights (including relamps)
    Ceiling fans
    Climate control systems


    HVAC
    – Excellent working knowledge of building
    HVAC and control systems to do minor repairs and work with licensed service technicians to do more in depth repairs and preventative maintenance service.

    Interior structures
    Masonry
    Drywall
    Carpentry

    Painting and Flooring
    Pain touch-ups to entire rooms/areas
    Repair and replacement of flooring as needed

    General
    Dock doors repair and maintenance
    Dock leveler repairs and maintenance
    Interior and exterior door repair and replacement
    Fire doors preventative maintenance
    Insect and pest control
    Additional Responsibilities
    Proactively identify potential facility issues and present resolution options to Senior Facilities Manager

    Plan, schedule and oversee external contractors to ensure quality control, professionalism, minimal operational interference, and their recommended scope of work is the right solution and is cost effective.

    Monitor expenses and meet approved fiscal budget
    Support 3 PL safety programs to ensure all associates are working in a safe environment
    Support 3 PL operations requests to support efficient and successful operations results
    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    A minimum of 10 years in facilities management with hands-on experience.
    Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing,
    HVAC and other building systems
    Knowledge of all the construction trades is necessary.
    Proficiency of repair and installation tools and techniques
    Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations and preventive maintenance systems
    Ability to work with others under minimal supervision
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
    Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
    Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word, Visio or related software skills

    Education Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or 10 years of facilities management experience.
