Job Description

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a vital role in providing medical evaluation and treatment to John Muir Medical Center patients. The NP collaborates closely with the Supervising Physician, following standardized procedures developed in partnership with the medical center's administration, medical staff, and nursing team. This position requires a registered nurse with enhanced skills in physical diagnosis, psycho-social assessment, and managing health-illness needs. The NP's responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, offering guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention, and providing healthcare in coordination with physicians at John Muir Medical Center.

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nurse Practitioner Program (MSN or DNP) - Required

Experience:

3 years Nursing - Nurse Practitioner - Preferred

Additional Experience Requirements:

Specialties preferred: Surgery, Oncology, OB, Hospitalist, Intensivist, Psychology, Gerontology, Urology, Non-Invasive Cardiology, or Trauma

Certifications/Licensures:

RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
NP Registered Nurse Practitioner - CA Board of Registered Nursing - Required
NP-F Registered Nurse Practitioner Furnishing - CA Board of Registered Nursing - Required
FNP Family Nurse Practitioner - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center - Required
Related NP clinical license or certification through ANCC
NP Nurse Practitioner - AANP American Academy of Nurse Practitioners - Required
DEA Drug Enforcement Agency - US Dept of Justice - Drug Enforcement Administration - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required

Work Shift:

:00 - 19:00 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$ $125.29HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
