Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to success In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will inspire staff, streamline processes, and create a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff coordination
- Lead staff training and development to ensure excellent customer service and food handling standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food safety practices are followed
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics, including budgeting, sales targets, and cost control
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled, motivated team
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production and catering operations when needed
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Extensive experience in food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Proven supervisory experience with staff training & development capabilities
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to manage inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen operations effectively
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management, interviewing, and shift supervision
- Familiarity with budgeting, food production processes, and hospitality management principles
- Knowledge of culinary techniques including food preparation and cooking methods
- Experience in fine dining or hotel food service environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and resolve issues promptly
