    We're hiring an experienced Facilities Tech in Commerce, Ca.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant government and regulatory requirements for facility maintenance while prioritizing safety.
    • Exhibit safety-conscious behaviors and actively identify and evaluate safety hazards and risks.
    • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and participate in incident investigations.
    • Assist the team with various tasks including employee moves, events, visitors, and shipping or receiving duties.
    • Handle routine office maintenance tasks such as installing TVs and whiteboards, setting up new hire workstations, assembling furniture, and performing carpentry, patching, and painting.
    • Receive and address facilities requests concerning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general office and warehouse maintenance.
    • Coordinate with on-site vendors, obtaining pricing for materials and other project needs within budgetary constraints.
    • Supervise contractors as necessary and continuously assess sites for potential improvements.
    • Proactively identify and troubleshoot problems, formulating and executing solutions for corrective repairs.
    • Fulfill any additional maintenance-related responsibilities as assigned.
    • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices consistently.
    • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality as per company standards.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:


    • Safety first attitude required. Ability to perform all work using the proper personnel protective equipment (PPE) and in strict accordance with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and best practices required.


    • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience maintaining commercial/industrial/office buildings is required.


    • Ability to read and understand technical documents such as operating manuals and architectural/mechanical/electrical/plumbing plans and blueprints are required.


    • Ability to systematically identify, analyze and solve maintenance problems required.


    • Ability to work in cramped spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. required.


    • Ability to walk a large, campus-like setting, climb stairs, work on a ladder, operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate a motor vehicle, and navigating rooftops to access equipment required.


    • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.


    • Ability to work overtime, including some weekends, required.


    • Subject to be on call for equipment/systems/building emergency response 24 hours per day and working in all weather conditions required.


    • Ability to work effectively as both an individual contributor and valued team member required.


    • Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task work assignments, and strong time management required.


    • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office programs, such as Teams, Outlook are required.


    • Understanding of basic refrigeration and air conditioning systems preferred.


    • 608 EPA Universal Certification preferred.

    Two years or more in Facilities or Building Maintenance preferred.


    • Experience with building automation systems preferred.


    • Experience with multi-site building operations preferred.


    • Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

    • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English/Spanish fluently.
