    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Systems and supports the administrative functions andcommunications systems within Enrollment Management. This employee will beexpected to perform a number of vital roles based on the undergraduate andgraduate admission cycle.

    The Assistant Director of Communications Systemsworks with the Enrollment Marketing and Communications team to supportenrollment (admissions and financial aid) communication from TechnolutionsSlate and Banner Communication Manager.

    This position will also beresponsible for ongoing testing, quality assurance, list development,reporting, troubleshooting and support for Slate Deliver and BannerCommunication Manager.

    A goal of this position is to expand the use of thesetools to their fullest potential. Administrative work requiring initiative andindependent judgement. Maintenance of confidential information while ensuringthe efficient operation of the office of Enrollment Management.


    DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Manages all formal communications to prospects, applicants, and currentstudents, including, but not limited to, admission decision letters,scholarship letters, financial aid notices, etc.

    Generates and inventoriesenrollment letters, including, but not limited to, admissions decision lettersand financial aid notices, for prospective students.

    Develops, tests and manages new email templates, ensuring they are responsive and mobile friendlyQuality assurance; ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the audience populations and communication flowsDevelops reports and measures analytics; A/B tests and tracks results to monitor and optimize message effectiveness in conjunction with enrollment goalsEffectively use features to maximize CRM functionality, such as forms, dynamic content liquid markup, snippets, on-demand print, etc.

    Stay abreast of best practices, changes, upgrades, enhancements and resources related to Slate Deliver and shares those with enrollment marcom and University usersUtilizes Banner CommunicationsManager to support the Office of Financial Aid send financial aid notices andreminders to prospective and current students.

    Supports the Enrollment Marketingand Communications team ensure delivery of comprehensive communication plansthrough communication systems, based upon schedule and the accuracy andintegrity of the audience recipient lists and planned messaging, to support centralized andschool-based graduate and undergraduate enrollment communication efforts.

    Maintains awareness of, shares andutilizes email best practices including browser/client/device compatibility,optimizing deliverability and message standards, as well as maintainingCAN
    • SPAM compliance.
    Manages and executes enrollment management centralizedundergraduate and graduate recruitment communication plans via the University'sCRM system.

    Develops and/or coordinates internal communication with strategic partner plans; Communicates important updates with CRM communications colleagues across campusDevelops training assets and leads training sessions (audiences to include admission counselors, school liaisons, etc.)Creates and manages a queue system for CRM-communication requests, also using enrollment management ticketing and tracking systemConsults with school liaisons, best practices for form usage, leads tracking and event management and theirrelated communications.

    Serves as backup for fulfillmentpieces from the enrollment offices through Slate Print and on-campus mailingdepartments for pieces such as inquiry and applicant letter, postcards,viewbooks, etc.

    Supports operational and processing effectiveness for theentire enrollment division (UG admissions, Graduate Enrollment Services,Financial Aid, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, Military and Veterans,and Guest Services).

    Assists daily mail when necessary.
    Assists with the optimization andadministration of the enrollment systems, including, but not limited toTechnolutions Slate and Ellucian Banner.

    Participates in various admissionsevents (i.e., DUQ Days, Accepted Student Days, etc.).Performs other related duties asassigned to support the functions of a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

    Completes other duties as assigned.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree inbusiness, communications, or marketing from an accredited institution and 1-3years of progressively responsible experience.
    Prior experience managing CRM communication campaigns cansubstitute for specific bachelor's degree majors.
    Minimum1 year of experience in admissions or student services at thecollege/university level or closely related environment dealing with thepublic.


    Preferred qualifications:


    Previous experience in marketingautomation, including lead capture forms, nurturing campaigns, multi-segmentedcommunication flows, including drip campaigns, queries, filters, contentblocks, snippets, A/B testing, and tracking pixels preferred.

    Working knowledge of CRM platformspreferred; experience with Slate and Banner preferred.

    Alternately, thesuccessful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience andtraining, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions.
