    Description


    The Engineering Manager has overall responsibility and accountability for capital planning and implementation, plant maintenance, reliability, facilities, automation, security, risk management, and technical documentation.

    Balances strategic planning and vision with day-to-day execution of maintenance related activities in support of the plant commitments and goals.

    Has ownership for capital management process including development of project funnel, budgets, pre-engineering, project preparation, submission, execution, tracking, and completion.

    Will be an expert in Saint-Gobain CapEx system in order to lead and train others and assure compliance with capital rules and procedures.

    Provides subject matter expert insight and guidance for all CapEx projects, regardless of department.
    Represents the mill as the technical expert in engineering; mechanical, electrical, civil, automation and materials. Will coach and develop a team of highly skilled craftsman/journeyman, technicians, and maintenance managers.

    The Engineering Manager will also lead and represent the plant during all Paragon risk management visits/audits and will provide support during federal EPA and/or state DEQ audits.

    Engineering Manager will have direct responsibility over process utilities including the boiler and air compressors as well as building maintenance.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or industrial management.
    Will possess the necessary knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices and procedures impacting a manufacturing facility.
    Professional knowledge of plant engineering disciplines and maintenance systems.
    Demonstrated leadership skills in industrial management plus approximately 10 years' experience working in paper mills and/or the paper industry.
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
