    Job Description:

    The Global Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance Director works closely with commercial and technology leaders to drive regulatory compliance while enabling growth. In this role, you will lead and provide oversight to the global function through the development and implementation of standard processes to ensure compliance, establishing and leveraging best practices, and initiatives to support and enable business objectives.

    You will also foster growth and innovation by analyzing megatrends, regulatory initiatives, and customer-driven product stewardship needs across the business segments. You will lead a global team of experienced professionals.

    In this role you will:
    • Monitor relevant regulatory activities that may impact Axalta.
    • In coordination with the business leaders and regional teams, develop product registration strategies in support of the business strategies for new product introduction.
    • Ensure compliance with regional and local regulations related to hazard communication, substance registrations, required reporting and other requirements specific to the region.
    • Supports final product labeling requirements to shipping destinations.
    • Provides regulatory review on new product development.
    • Provide functional and program guidance to the product stewardship regional teams with respect to training and development of the regional PSRC staff.
    • Manage leading and lagging indicators to track performance and understand trends to improve functional efficiency or effectiveness.
    • Provide guidance to the business and appropriate functions on how new laws, regulations or legislation will impact our business operations and overall strategy
    • Respond to customer-driven product stewardship needs across the segments.
    • Represent the company in select industry groups and as a representative to government agencies on relevant issues.
    • Ensure the necessary information systems and tools are in place and maintained to meet requirements for compliance and business support needs.
    • Oversee global standards and guidelines and drive processes.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a science discipline (i.e., Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology)
    • 10+ years of work experience in a product stewardship program function
    • 5+ years of work experience in the coatings or specialty chemicals industry
    • In depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and issues
    • Global or regional leadership experience
    Preferred Core Competencies:
    • SAP S4 experience
    • Effective change management skills and demonstrated ability to lead and inspire positive change within an organization
    • Relationship management and networking skills
    • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts
    • Ability to engage and present to senior leaders on regulatory strategic direction
    • Experience in working with cross-functional, multi-cultural, and virtual teams
