    Job Description

    American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience.

    Responsibilities
    Position is in a Cardiothoracic ICU within a hospital settingNight shift schedule: 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week, with openness to 4 shifts per week at 48 hoursLevel 1 Trauma experience requiredPatient care focuses on cardiothoracic cases including complex and critical careResponsibilities include providing competent clinical nursing care and coordinating patient care in accordance with professional standardsParticipate in education, patient/family teaching, care assessment, collaborative planning, and complex patient care deliveryInvolvement with interdisciplinary team to evaluate and promote continuity of patient careMust complete required background check and drug screening within specified timeframes
    Requirements
    Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC requiredMinimum of 1 year ICU nursing experience requiredPrior experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) or Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) requiredGraduate of an accredited nursing program with a diploma, ADN, or ASN
