    Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is actively recruiting for a full time Family Medicine Physician for our Wilmington, Vermont location.

    Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) is an integrated, non-profit health system and has a proud 100-year history as an innovator in healthcare delivery. It includes a 99-bed hospital and 25 primary care and specialty care practices at nine total locations in the greater Bennington area and nearby New York and Massachusetts. Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) was Vermont's first Magnet Hospital and is one of only 3 hospitals in New England and 28 hospitals worldwide to have achieved five consecutive designations as a Magnet Center for Nursing Excellence.

    Through a visionary partnership with Dartmouth Health, nearly 1,400 employees emulate the values of quality, empathy, safety, teamwork and stewardship to fulfill their mission of exceptional care and comfort for the 75,000 people they serve.     SVHC has more than 125 physicians and advanced practice providers on staff who provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for adults and children. Henry W. Putnam started SVHC in 1910 by donating his water company to the Town of Bennington, stipulating that the proceeds be used to fund a public hospital. One of Bennington's oldest charities, SVHC depends on the generosity of donors to provide an unprecedented level of care for a community hospital. SVHC is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees drawn from the communities it serves.

    Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians, founded in 2012, has grown into a renowned multi-specialty medical practice. We offer a full range specialties from primary care and pediatrics through medical and surgical specialties. Many of our physicians and advanced practice providers are also members of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians, a multi-specialty physician group operated by Dartmouth-Hitchcock that provides care exclusively for SVMC.
