- Assists Financial Coordinator in processing invoice payments per University Policy to include petty cash reimbursements, refunds, and moving stipends.
- Monitors and disburses invoices in the group accounts payable email address.
- Records newly received invoices and checks on control spreadsheets.
- Utilizes the contract and purchases order tracking spreadsheets to monitor available balances and work with departments on any needed contracts on purchase order renewals.
- Assists with the disbursement, tracking, and replenishment of business office petty cash funds.
- Prepares biweekly bank deposits.
- Tracks the approval flow of entertainment, gift card approval forms, and files completed forms on the shared drive.
- Completes follow-up with departments to ensure ledgers are reconciled monthly.
- Becomes proficient in Dash/Oracle financial system to assist the departments with implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to learn new financial systems.
- Ability to problem solve and research resolutions.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office tools.

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Financial Associate 2 assists in coordinating the business activities in support of 10 academic departments, 6 support offices, the UFP Clinic, and the OB/IM Residents Clinic. This position is responsible for processing invoice payments, contract and purchase order balance tracking, daily retrieval and sorting of mail, preparation of bi-weekly bank deposits, assisting with balance tracking of petty cash fund, entry of transfer vouchers, and filing of documents per University policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.(TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in lieu of experience.
