- Valid medical license and current certification in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine specialty
- Experience with Compensation & Pension exams or willingness to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interview-based assessments
- Ability to perform limited physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to adhere to scheduling and reporting deadlines
- Prior experience working with Veterans or in a government contracting environment
- Familiarity with physical assessment procedures
- Certification in relevant medical specialties or additional training in VA assessments
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Prior experience conducting C&P exams or similar evaluations is advantageous
- Own office location in Ithaca, NY, or Trumansburg, NY, with availability on scheduled days
- Must be local to the area; travel is included in rates
- Ability to commit to ongoing PRN engagements, including half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process
- No treatment or prescribing responsibilities; exams are interview and physical assessment-based only
- Regular administrative follow-up work (addendums, reports) included in scheduled rates
