- Supervising, training, and assisting workers in maintain production equipment.
- Maintaining records of preventative maintenance.
- Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules when performing maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot controls, electronics, circuits, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
- Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Ability to determine defective parts, research and ordering parts to prevent downtime
- Interprets and monitors maintenance requests and assigns duties.
- Recommends personnel actions, such as promotions, pay rate changes, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
- Reporting for work regularly and on time
- At least 2 years demonstrated work history in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma and 2+ years' experience in repairing and troubleshooting in pneumatics, hydraulics, 3 phase motors and industrial wiring in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment
- 1-year industrial electrical or mechanical experience required.
- Ability to learn process, equipment specifications and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals and policies
- Good practical sense working with and troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Perform 4 basic math operations with all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent.
- Ability to read instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment.
- Ability to write work instructions.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to give directions to hourly employees.
- Must be able to use a computer effectively for data entry, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Must be able to deal with conflict, coaching and counseling in a professional and effective manner.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate various machines, such as: Plant equipment and machinery, scales, tape measure, control gauges, computer keyboard.
- Inside, non-climate-controlled environment, variable workdays and hours. Some noise and vibration. Overtime will be required.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

We digitally print graphics in-house and can incorporate interactive sensors into merchandising displays to gather business intelligence for our clients. Being vertically integrated, our dedicated and committed team provides a full range of services to our clients and partners – Creative Design and Ideation, Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, Project Management, Production, Warehousing and Logistics. We customize everything, not just the product, to fit the needs of our clients and partners.
Vulcan Industries is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. to oversee and coordinates all activities of maintenance workers engaged in performing preventative maintenance as well as ensuring that plant equipment is kept in good electrical/mechanical order. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
