    Palm Springs, CA

    Summary:

As a Trauma/ACS Physician (TAP) Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the Trauma Service.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage stable trauma patients on the medical/surgical units, as well as acute care surgery patients in the perioperative period, ensuring the optimal management and coordination of patient care during their hospital stay.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including trauma surgeons, acute care surgeons, nurses, specialists, and support staff, to deliver high-quality and patient-centered care.

You will have 3 surgeons available to answer any questions related to trauma and surgical pathology that might be beyond your level of expertise, and to help manage complex patients that might challenge your scope of practice.

The TAP would ideally have experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, but is not required as the physician group is accustomed to and enjoys educating and broadening scopes of practice for providers.

The group has a GME program that includes general surgery residents and critical care fellows, who the TAP will interact with on a daily basis.

Adhere to hospital and regulatory guidelines and protocols, maintaining patient safety and confidentiality at all times. 9. Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and other interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and develop collaborative care plans. 10.
