- Associates or better in Medical Technology or related field required.
- C-ASCP Med Lab Scientist (MLS) preferred.
- Directs and is responsible for all work performed in a designated section of the laboratory.
- Is responsible for seeing that the designated area operates within the stated standards as set by regulatory agencies such as TJC and CLIA.
- Maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements.
- Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all types of blood and body fluid specimens.
- Resolves problems and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical values.
- Follows laboratory and hospital policies and procedures and instructs new employees.
- Works and assists as needed in other laboratory areas as required to maintain appropriate patient care.

Lake Norman Regional Medical Center has been serving the needs of the greater Lake Norman, Iredell and surrounding counties since 1926. The 123-bed, acute-care hospital offers comprehensive medical services and is located in Mooresville, NC.
