    Job Description

    The Marketing Generalist at Lincoln Memorial University plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic marketing and public relations initiatives of the institution.

    This position reports directly to the Executive Director for Marketing and Public Relations and operates within the Division of Administration.

    As a key member of the marketing team, the Marketing Generalist will contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans, promotional campaigns, and communication strategies to enhance the universitys brand presence and achieve organizational goals.


    Required Qualifications
    *bachelors degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

    *masters degree.

    (Event Coordination) assist in the planning and execution of university events, coordinating promotional activities and ensuring a consistent brand presence;

    (Digital Marketing) support digital marketing initiatives, including social media management, online advertising, and SEO strategies;

    stay updated on digital marketing trends and tools to enhance the university s online presence;

    (Collaboration and Relationship Building) work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, academic departments, and administrative units to gather information and align marketing efforts with institutional objectives;

    cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of marketing goals;

    (Reporting and Analysis) prepare regular reports on marketing performance metrics, analyze results, and provide recommendations for optimization; monitor and assess the competitive landscape and industry trends to inform marketing strategies;

    (Budget Management) assist in the development and management of marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines;

    utilize Meltwater to monitor media hits and compile monthly reports for University stakeholders;

    photograph campus events;

    produce weekly internal newsletter for LMU constituents;

    communicate with general public through social networking vehicles;

    assist in the creation and maintenance of a marketing plan for LMU in conjunction with the Executive Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations;


    Job Duty
    work with appropriate divisions and departments of LMU and Administration division and University Advancement Office to determine appropriate markets for distribution of advertising and promotion;


    Job Duty
    Coordinate public relations efforts for assigned beats (including J. Frank White Academy, School of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, School of Math and Science, School of Education) ;

    work closely with the Office of Admissions and Student Services to plan and participate in student recruitment activities and promote events like Preview Days, Railsplitter for a Day, FAFSA Workshops, etc.

    attend monthly meetings with the Administration division and Division of University Advancement;

    complete required institutional and program accreditation reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the university;

    plan and post messaging on campus signage including building screens and marquee at front of campus; and

    perform other duties as assigned.
