    Overview:

    Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a Business Analyst III, this individual will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying needs, and securing business opportunities. This individual is responsible for the design and delivery of portions of a system with little supervision which includes programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of potentially complex, technical applications, MES, and control systems.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop strategic solutions with long-term impacts in mind.
    • Analyze and interpret data using various statistical models like linear/multiple regression, linear and quadratic discriminant analysis (LDA, QDA) and logistic regression.
    • Architects relational database objects like SQL stored procedures and functions to produce automated reports and visualizations.
    • Proposes automated data collection and data analysis solutions to key client stakeholders.
    • Assists the clients in the assessment of Business Intelligence platform selection.
    • Design end-to-end data collection systems to capture industrial process data from machine control systems with emphasis on time synchronization of each data point on a high-speed production line.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, provide direct operational support through investigation, documentation, and resolution of technology issues for the manufacturing industry.
    • Work effectively in cross-functional teams to solve complex issues, requiring effective communication and leadership capabilities.
    • Capable of installing and starting up a system on a customers site without direct supervision.
    • Perform in-house and in-plant customer operator training for the system.
    • Expand client portfolio by identifying needs and crafting sales presentations and proposals.
    • Engage in networking, leverage industry events to promote business growth, and contribute to industry knowledge through speaking engagements, publications, and other professional activities.

    Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal with internal programming and project management teams and our clients. Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to put complex system operational narratives in layperson terms.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, engineering, or other related technical degrees. Will also consider equivalent combination of education and related experience. Six or more years' experience with manufacturing and automation analytics. Three more years of SQL, UI/UX reporting experience with equal experience with C#, Java Script and/or Python. Three years or more experience with data transfer protocols.

    Must be proficient in several of the following skills:

    • Technical knowhow and skill needed to perform work assignments that are technically accurate and complete.,
    • Produces a significant amount of work efficiently in a specified amount of time, can be relied upon to complete tasks and follow-ups without close supervision,
    • Voluntarily starts new projects, shows a high level of initiative, assumes additional duties and non-routine jobs and tasks.
    • Performing as a subject matter expert for business analyst team members.
    • Recognize client needs and turn those into opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
