- Consulting with current and potential clients, as well as the business development team, to comprehensively grasp equipment needs and system requirements.
- Crafting or aiding in the creation of presentations and other materials to effectively communicate products and services to customers.
- Taking the lead in the quoting process by collaborating with internal engineering and production teams to generate quotations for equipment.
- Estimating the necessary engineering and shop labor hours for the design and construction of new equipment.
- Obtaining material quotes and/or providing estimates for purchased components.
- Offering expertise and assistance to sales teams in conveying product benefits, services, and addressing client requirements.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by potentially suggesting product modifications and proposing improved materials or products along with their associated benefits.
- Assisting in the preparation of product orders and coordinating delivery schedules.
- Contributing to research and development efforts for new products.
- Carrying out any other relevant duties as assigned.
- Occasional travel requirement: up to 10% for both domestic and international purposes.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant product or sales experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales and customer service abilities, demonstrated by the capacity to elucidate technical products to non-technical individuals.
- Application of engineering, technology, or related principles to facilitate product sales.
- Proficiency in organizational tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) skills.
