    Squarespace is seeking an Events & EX Lead to spearhead our approach to internal events, and programs, and myriad initiatives designed to amplify our culture, foster community, and connect our employees.

    You will take charge of conceptualizing and managing both in-person and virtual events, ensuring they align with and amplify our strategy, vision, values, and company milestones. Collaborating with partners across departments, you'll not only enhance existing offerings but also pioneer programming and initiatives to engage our employees, regardless of their location.

    You must possess a background in Employee Experience and event production, building solutions from the ground up, creating impactful programs, and embrace a flair for creativity. Also integral to success in this role will be an emphasis on strategy, measurement, experimentation, testing and learning.

    You will report to our Senior Manager of Events & Employee Experience, as part of our Internal Communications and EX (Employee Experience) Team, and be based in our New York headquarters.

    You'll Get To...

    • Lead the strategic brainstorming and end-to-end management of in-person and virtual events that amplify and cement our strategy, vision, values and major milestones.
    • Conceptualize and design large-scale global events, including oversight of in-person events based in our NYC HQ.
    • Partner with the Workplace Services and IT teams, third-party vendors, and others to implement events and employee-facing programming.
    • Partner with points of contact across our office locations to grow the in-person events strategy.
    • Ideate new ways to engage our distributed workforce and help them feel connected to Squarespace including video content, podcasts, and more
    • Design a clear approach to facilitate and support employee connection including employee-led interest groups, meetups, community engagement, and intramural sports.
    • Come up with and draft campaigns to promote and inspire excitement about programming and events.
    • Collaborate with our Creative team to guide the creation of special assets for important moments (like major anniversaries, product releases, and other milestones), and promote the Squarespace brand (e.g. employee swag, digital assets).
    • Facilitate the creative development and success of events supporting the work of our partner teams, including large-scale ERG events, L&D workshops, wellness fairs and more.

    Who We're Looking For

    • 5+ years in employee experience management, event planning, or related fields is essential. This may involve managing internal events, employee engagement initiatives, or similar programs.
    • Prior experience creating and delivering organization-wide and scalable programs, including experience in strategy design, program development, management, measurement and evaluation.
    • Experience developing trusted relationships at all levels of an organization with an ability to influence partners.
    • Strategic program management, project management and partner management skills.
    • Demonstrated experience creating processes to streamline collaboration, increase efficiency, and create the greatest impact.
    • Required ability to identify important patterns and trends, derive meaningful insights, and use data to guide informed decision-making and overcome complex obstacles.
    • International experience preferred, enabling and understanding diverse global regions and cultures.
    • An excellent sense of judgment and urgency that allows you to prioritize and focus on delivery and.execution.
    • Experience crafting communications that are exciting and easy to understand, keeping the needs of each specific audience in mind.
    • Work from the NYC office 2-3 days per week, and work some evenings for events.
    • Comfort with lifting boxes containing swag or event decorations weighing up to 20 pounds.
    • Familiarity working with G-suite, JIRA and Confluence are desired.

    Cash Compensation Range: $105,500 - $170,200 USD

    The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

    In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
