DESCRIPTION:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a skilled person qualified by technological education to provide patient services using diagnostic equipment under the supervision of a doctor of medicine
The technologist will be required to Scrub/Assist the physician during procedures
Performs related duties as assigned

Required education:
High school diploma or equivalent and one of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) prerequisites for education and required clinical experience

Required licensure:
Requires a registry or registry eligible status with the ARRT

Required certifications:
Must have a current American Heart Association BLS Heart saver Card or obtain within probationary period

Physical Requirements:
This individual must be capable of walking long distances, and standing while wearing lead

Equipment Used:
Siemens Fluoroscopy, GE CT scanner, and Ultrasound.
