    The opportunity Ernst & Young LLP's (EY) US Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice is a robust and emerging practice with tremendous potential for growth - and we are prepared to tap into that potential.

    Our US GPS practice combines an understanding of the public sector's diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services, with private sector leading practices.

    We respond to our client's issues by bringing together highly skilled professionals across Consulting, Assurance, Tax and Strategy and Transactions services.

    This integrated approach facilitates multidimensional support and flexibility to meet our clients' changing needs.

    Your key responsibilities As a Senior, supporting digital practice engagements, you will be responsible for supporting your team members with developing the customer experience, business requirements and strategy, work effectively as a team member; provide all necessary support to your peers and leadership, and be able to communicate and update team members on progress.

    In addition, you will be responsible for the following:


    • Develop customer experience and user interaction for digital projects, including experience maps and personas, information architecture, and other deliverables
    • Apply industry best-practices, techniques and methods to software development including writing maintainable, testable code
    • Develop project plans, briefings and other required artifacts for engagements as required
    • Develop capability briefings and various work products/marketing pieces for digital to support a growing internal center of excellence and community of practiceSkills and attributes for success
    • You will ideally have previous exposure to technology consulting, and a keen interest in advising the US Government and Public Sector
    • You should have strong communication skills, and business and technology acumen, and have a passion for delivering value to our clients
    • Familiarity with front-end development and framework
    • Skilled with industry certifications in various web design and programming languages such as Python, , React, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS3, and HTML5
    • Experience in RESTful API development and understanding of web services
    • Experience defining API endpoints, ensuring appropriate data responses, and setting up delivery protocols
    • Experience optimizing performance to ensure API is efficient under varying loads, keeping response times low
    • Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQLServer, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
    • Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
    • Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
    • Experience executing project plans on large, complex engagements from analysis through implementation To qualify for the role, you must have
    • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field(s)
    • 4+ years of related professional experience
    • DoD or Government experience preferred
    • Experience with the following:
    • Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React, Angular, jQuery
    • Development languages: Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Net, Java, Ruby and Python
    • Database and cache: Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
    • Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
    • Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in LinuxIdeally, you'll also have
    • Expertise in developing written and visual communication products
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Knowledge of modern web and mobile architecture
    • Ability to collaborate with clients and identify engagement follow-on opportunities Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel on average 25% to 30% or more in a hybrid environment.     The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $90,600 to $166,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $108,700 to $188,700.

    Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
