Job Overview
Description
We seek a Licensed Psychologist to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
When conducting Disability Assessments, you will examine behavioral health records electronically via a secure Web Portal and conduct a thorough assessment in person for each Veteran.
You will also fill out Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
The Licensed Psychologist DOES NOT determine disabilities. Disability determinations are made solely by the U.S. Veterans Administration, utilizing the information documented in the DBQs.
This role focuses ONLY on Disability Assessments for Veterans. You will NOT provide treatment or prescribe medication in this role.
The Licensed Psychologist will evaluate and assess an average of 3 (sometimes 4) Veterans per day.
The Licensed Psychologist will be engaged as an Independent Contractor.
Schedule 5 days/week (8 am-5 pm) - Part-time availability will also be considered
This is an IN-PERSON position.
