Founding Chief Compliance Officer Internship - New Orleans - Voice Up Publishing Incorporated
Description
Founding Chief Compliance Officer InternshipSchedule, Duration, Position Type
We are on a mission to transform how families support a healthier way for a better life.
Guided by our vision of connecting people to their purpose, we are establishing a subsidiary organization to reimagine healthcare for children, adolescents, teens, and young adults.
This initiative will be deeply connected to a network of churches and non-profits focused on creating a positive social impact.
This model will begin borrowing key principles of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in Phase 1, expanding to important principles of Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHCs) in Phase 2, and culminating with a teaching hospital connected to a revolutionary digital university.
This is a social venture designed to empower the most underserved communities while also creating a very high-value asset which provides each local community the ability to invest equity and ownership stake within the subsidiary corporation.
This creates a win-win opportunity for local governments while also fully wrapping in exceptional training and development focuses on proactive strategies for developing best practices related to health, exercise, financial literacy, the creative arts, and culturally welcoming medical care.
This university will focus on training a new workforce of mental and behavioral health professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, certified peers, community health workers, medical doctors, psychiatrists, family nurse practitioners, and nurses, along with additional support staff.
-
As the Founding Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for building a comprehensive compliance program for the subsidiary, encompassing regulatory adherence, risk management, and ethical oversight.
You will work closely with the executive leadership team to ensure compliance is embedded in the initiative's operations, from its initial phases as CCBHCs to its full realization as a teaching hospital and digital workforce university.
-
Develop, implement, and manage a compliance program that aligns with the legal and regulatory requirements for CCBHCs, FQHCs, and teaching hospitals.
Guide the certification process for CCBHCs and FQHC status, ensuring all standards are met.
Governance and Risk Management
Establish governance structures and policies to ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Create a monitoring and auditing system to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance initiatives.
Ethical Oversight and Cultural Sensitivity
Ensure the initiative's compliance program integrates the mission and culturally sensitive values.
Develop guidelines to ensure culturally competent care that respects diverse communities and their unique needs
Uphold ethical standards in hiring, training, and operational practices.
Training and Education
Design and implement a compliance training program for all staff, including certified peers, community health workers, medical doctors, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and administrative personnel.
Community and Partnership Compliance
Oversee compliance in partnerships with faith-based organizations, educational institutions, donors, and government agencies.
Ensure the subsidiary communicates health-related information accurately, accessible, and culturally appropriate.
Operational Development
Work alongside the Chief Medical Officer and executive leadership to align compliance efforts with the phased implementation of the initiative.
Lead the development of policies for data privacy, patient safety, and quality assurance.
-

Oversee the integration of compliance requirements for primary care, social services, and wellness programs.
Phase 3:
Full-Service Teaching Hospital with Digital Workforce University (Months 7-12)

-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, or a related field.

Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs in healthcare organizations.
Strong understanding of culturally sensitive and faith-based care models.
