**Description**

**Effective 1/02/22, the starting rate of pay for Forklift Operators will increase to:**

**1st Shift: $18.00 per hour**

**2nd Shift: $18.75 per hour**

**3rd Shift: $19.50 per hour**

To succeed in this position, you must have a "can do" attitude, high safety standards and diligence towards timely delivery to our customers. Cardinal Glass LG/IG-Ocala operates three working shifts starting Sunday evening through Friday evening and on Saturdays as deemed necessary. The Cardinal Glass LG/IG-Ocala plants employ 5 00+ people.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**

Required to pick up racks of glass and other items and put them where needed.

Required to learn how to operate the Rico.

Need to know how to do a basic inventory.

Need to be computer literate with familiarity with Strada and Microsoft Office.

Need to have good communications skills for interfacing with other departments as needed.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Forklift experience required.

Required to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

Team attitude

Proper attitude of keep ones self safe and those around you.

Read and comprehend the shipping list and order sheet.

Operate the forklift controls.

Operate hand switches and knobs.

Operate the overhead crane while changing the battery.

Use a pen/pencil to complete the documentation.

Must be able to memorize the names and sizes of all types of racks.
