    Position Overview:


    The Building Automation Controls Engineerpositionwill play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for various building automation projects.

    This position requires expertise in control systems, programming, and integration of technologies to optimize the performance and efficiency of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and other automated systems.


    Key Responsibilities:

    System Design and Development:
    Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and develop control systems for building automation projects.

    Create detailed specifications and schematics for control system components.


    Programming and Configuration:
    Develop and implement control algorithms and logic for building automation systems.

    Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Direct Digital Controllers (DDCs), and other control devices.

    Integrate various sensors, actuators, and devices into the control system.


    Testing and Commissioning:
    Conduct thorough testing of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.

    Work closely with installation teams to commission and fine-tune control systems for optimal performance.


    Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    Diagnose and resolve issues related to building automation controls.

    Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing control systems.


    Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all control system designs, configurations, and modifications.


    Collaboration :


    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems into building projects.

    Performs site specific training for owner/operator on the installed mechanical systems.

    Assists with turnover to service providers.


    Compliance and Regulations:
    Ensure that all building automation systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience

    Proven experience in designing and implementing building automation control systems.

    Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, C, or other relevant languages.

    Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).

    Knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and other building automation components.

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

    Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
