Local Community Bank in search for an assistant that specializes in Small Business Lending Operations. Training and development to prepare for advancement to higher level within the Administrative positions in the bank. Working closely with management, while assisting department with work load, questions and verifications of SBA rules and regulations.

This vacancy is to fill (1) position. Additional positions may be filled using this vacancy. This is not a remote position or open to hybrid. It is onsite full time.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Book new loans, renewals, modifications, letters of credit and guidance lines of credit.
• Book new SBA loans.
• 1502 reporting to FTA.
• Scan loan files.
• Post-closing loan review.
• Post payments, draws and principal reductions.
• Edit loans booked to loan platform for accuracy.
• Participation loan processing – both purchased and sold.
• Clear loan unposted transactions.
• General loan questions/research, regardless if independent or group effort.
• Balance loan general ledger clearing accounts.
• Execute recording/release of applicable documents.
• Document exception tracking/reporting.
• Effectively present information to senior management when needed.
• Open to working with customers throughout the application and closing process.
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Maintain working knowledge of lending-related legal and regulatory compliance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Loan Operations within commercial or SBA lending.
• Minimum 2 years of SBA Administration.
• Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal, in relating to internal and external clients and contacts.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze and resolve technical problems independently, as they relate to the Bank's automated loan systems.

Basic Education and Experience:

• Minimum education - high school graduate.
• Community bank background is preferred.
• Strong longevity with previous employers is preferred.
