    Description

    The HOLT Manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas has been configured to deliver fast turn-around on new product production while providing full customization as requested.
    The facility, located on Texas Central Parkway, is the worksite for a range of fabricated products including HOLT Spray King water tanks, engine and generator packaging enclosures, oilfield engine skids, and a full line of land management tools such as root plows and root rakes.

    The Intern - Design-Manufacturing Engineer will assist with engineering drawings, documentation, tooling, and manufacturing processes. This position is also responsible for assisting with the management of projects from initial concept to completion.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assists with modifying drawings to incorporate design, technical, and manufacturing changes
    • Assists with creating and/or modifying product, fixturing, tooling, and procedure documents
    • Assists with engineering design and manufacturing process development
    • Learns work experience and gains knowledge of Holt Manufacturing products and procedures
    • Assists with analyzing existing processes with a focus on identifying gaps, non-value-added steps, and other impediments to efficient operations
    • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
    • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of design drawings, documentation, and manufacturing operations
    • Experience with ProE, SolidWorks, or other design modeling software
    • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to produce information in spreadsheets, documents, forms, tables, and presentations
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to relay and receive ideas, concepts, etc. to various levels throughout the organization
    • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional skills in customer service (internal and external)
    • Strong organization skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to work on multiple projects
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and customers (internal and external)

      •Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Education and Experience:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred) or a related discipline
    • Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA
