    Job Summary


    This position is responsible for ensuring that Physical Therapy services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. The role includes conducting physical therapy evaluations and treatments, as well as completing the necessary clinical documentation. The individual will adhere to specific service delivery standards focused on customer satisfaction, quality processes, communication, and corporate compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess patient strengths, limitations, and needs using standardized evaluation tests.
    • Develop and implement individualized short- and long-term treatment goals based on patient assessments.
    • Administer and interpret clinical physical therapy services, adjusting treatment plans based on patient responses.
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records, documenting progress in electronic health systems.
    • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements of reimbursement and regulatory agencies, completing within two business days.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
    • Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
    • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, safety, and self-care techniques.
    • Assist in discharge planning and coordinate referrals for durable medical equipment.
    • Supervise and provide direction to Physical Therapist Assistants during treatment sessions.
    • Maintain licensure requirements and pursue continuing education to stay current with professional standards.
    • Engage in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience in an approved medical facility.

    Preferred Skills & Experience

    • Previous physical therapy experience in a hospital-based setting.

    Education


    Required Education

    • Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, holding a bachelor's degree or equivalent in physical therapy.

    Preferred Education

    • Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy.

    Required Certifications & Licensure

    • Possession of a current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York.
    • BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.

    Schedule Notes


    Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Work setting is split between an onsite Occupational Medicine clinic and a manufacturing facility/warehouse setting in Greene, NY. Some level of experience beyond outpatient physical therapy is required, such as ergonomic evaluation experience, OSHA training, or performing functional capacity/return to duty clearances.

    Focus Areas


    The primary focus of this role is on injury prevention and early intervention, with the aim of returning workers to their jobs promptly and implementing work hardening routines. Preferred experience includes occupational medicine, industrial sectors, OSHA compliance, ergonomics, early symptom intervention, and working independently.

    Typical Day


    The typical workday involves rounding on warehouse floors, seeing patients, collaborating with HR business partners, and conducting follow-ups in a clinical setting. Occasional travel to Binghamton or Syracuse for meetings may be required.
