- Leads insurance renewal activities, including preparation of underwriting submissions, negotiation, procurement/placement, and reviews for compliance of terms and conditions of insured and/or self-insured programs.
- Leads and manages construction-related insurance programs.
- Leads, analyzes, and negotiates contractual insurance requirements for contractors performing high risk work.
- Works with management to establish "best in industry" processes, programs, and implementation of company-wide initiatives related to risk management and insurance.
- Assist with drafting of various insurance related regulatory filing.
- Works closely with business units to provide insurance support and training.
- Supports the preparation of insurance budget and premium allocations.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field, required.
- 5+ year of experience in risk management and/or property and casualty insurance, required.
- 5+ years of Energy and/or construction industry experience, preferred.
- Microsoft Office knowledge, including Excel, Word, and Intermediate to Advanced PowerPoint skills required.
- Demonstrated ability in execution of projects.
- Demonstrated ability in developing strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
- We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
