- Assist with the provision of laboratory services to meet the needs of projects, providers, patients, and performs in accordance with accepted standards and practices, as well as regulations stipulated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) and Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP).
- Compliance with CLIA/CAP/NYS regulations.
- Manages histology and pathology quality assurance programs.
- Interacts regularly with lab staff regarding operational improvements, issues, and resolutions.
- Responsible for monitoring quality of all data generated in the laboratory and ensures the delivery of quality laboratory services.
- Evaluates performance and maintains total quality management, coordinating with other departments and various teams to provide support for the laboratory operations.
- Maintains established performance metrics to optimize performance related to; 1. Lab quality, 2. Patient and provider experience, 3. Employee engagement 4. Productivity & efficiency
- Maintains reports and statistics for administrative, planning, quality improvement and regulatory responses.
- Assist Lab Team and Client Relations to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve out of specification results and follow up on client training to improve quality metrics.
- Assure all documentation (hard copy and digital) is complete and compliant.
- Assist with internal audits and inspection readiness activities of external audits.
- Responsible for quarterly meeting to review Metrics, NCE, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Quality performances and Laboratory readiness.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or related software
- Excellent project management skills
- Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems and make evaluative judgements.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Strong team player who can juggle multiple priorities.
- College degree in science or related major
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an anatomical pathology (AP) laboratory setting (ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE)
- Must be able to work in an environment conducing to a laboratory setting.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (ex. face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed.
- Stooping, turning, bending, squatting kneeling and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances.
- May involve prolonged periods of sedentary work that requires sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

LOCATION: Suffern, NY, US
Salary Range:$70,000.00 To 80,000.00 Annually
24 hour operations - 10 am - 6pm - Would like someone with flexibility
Job Summary:
Oversees the daily operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow. They work closely with the Laboratory Operations Manager and Laboratory Director to ensure all SOPs and other documentation is kept up to date, create regular laboratory metrics and manage the quality assurance process.
