- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of a 2nd Class Firemen's License
- Continuous education requirements must be kept up to date.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude
- Complete all continuing education requirements of the MA Dept of Public Safety for licensing renewal.
- Actively pursue and attain a 3rd Class Engineer's license within 2 years of securing the position.
