    Description

    Job Summary:
    At the direction of a radiologist or other physician, competently performs CT and/or MRI exams. Reviews/approves images and related information for quality, accuracy and completeness, and forwards to PACS for archive and image interpretation. Supports customer service and other quality initiatives as defined by hospital and department policy. Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, medical and hospital staff. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications, Knowledge & Ability:

    • Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
    • Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT and/or MRI credentials
    • Must possess a Wisconsin radiographer license
    • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
    • BLS certification is required upon hire
    • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
    • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
    • Previous MRI and CT in a hospital environment is preferred
    • Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
