    **Program Overview**

    We are committed to equipping future leaders in gospel ministry by fostering character, competency, and discernment of calling. This program is designed for individuals who believe God is calling them into full-time ministry or church planting, as well as those involved in Christian vocational work.

    This handbook outlines the Mercy Residency Program's ministry tracks, which provide a detailed description of each track offered through the program.

    We view it as a privilege and responsibility to train men and women for Christian ministry.

    **Residency Goals and Components**

    The resident is expected to exercise due diligence to achieve the following:

    • To broaden their understanding of Christian ministry through Scripture study, literature, and regular Christian ministry participation.
    • To sharpen vision for biblical ministry through interaction with ministry leaders from Mercy Church.
    • To continue growth as a godly, learned, Spirit-filled ministry leader in view of future local church ministry through exposure to pastoral leaders and other practitioners.
    • To participate in ministry and congregational life at Mercy Church.

    To achieve these goals, the resident will:

    • Attend resident cohort meetings bi-weekly on Thursday mornings from 8:00-9:30am.
    • Attend direct report meetings with a Mercy Staff member.
    • Attend special gatherings throughout the year.
    • Attend all worship services at their assigned campus every week.

    The resident's ministry assignments include attending required staff meetings, gatherings, and training, actively seeking one-to-one relationships, and fulfilling Ministry Track responsibilities.

    Term: The residency will run for two years.

    • Phase 3 - Local Interview (schedule within our system after completing the ministry assessment)
