    Position Description

    We are currently searching for an Interiors Superintendent to join our team. This role will work alongside a group of talented construction professionals and collaborate closely with project managers, executives, business development, ownership, subcontractor partners, and internal teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Interiors Superintendent will be responsible for supporting current and upcoming interior up-fit projects in the Charleston area, with a strong focus on quality, schedule, safety, and trade coordination.
    Principle Responsibilities:
    • Lead day-to-day field operations for interior renovation and up-fit projects, including finishes, MEP tie-ins, and specialty installations.
    • Coordinate and sequence interior trades such as drywall, framing, ceilings, flooring, millwork, painting, and specialty contractors to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
    • Maintain and update detailed short-interval and master schedules focused on interior trade sequencing, inspections, and turnover milestones.
    • Oversee quality control for interior finishes, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and design intent.
    • Manage subcontractor performance in the field, holding teams accountable to safety, schedule, cleanliness, and craftsmanship standards.
    • Enforce safety protocols tailored to interior construction and occupied or partially occupied buildings.
    • Conduct daily site walks, coordination meetings, and pre-installation meetings to proactively identify and resolve conflicts.
    • Coordinate inspections, punch list activities, and closeout efforts to achieve timely and high-quality project turnover.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite appropriate for interior work environments.
    • Collaborate closely with the project management team on schedule impacts, field issues, and constructability concerns.

    Position Requirements
    Qualifications:
    • College degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on construction experience.
    • 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a superintendent or field leadership role, preferably focused on interior projects.
    • Strong working knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and finishes.
    • Experience working in occupied buildings or fast-paced interior renovation environments preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of the Charleston, SC construction market and local subcontractor base is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.
