Role: H&H Project Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Perform Hydrologic & Hydraulic tasks for Stormwater Resources projects and prepare study reports of the analysis and design.
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of drainage systems and other storm water conveyance features.
Prepare reports, studies and designs related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
Work with senior hydraulic project managers to learn and enhance modeling skills.
Perform analysis for watershed projects such as no-rise studies, bridge hydraulic studies, and culverts.
Preliminary Engineering Reports (PER) / Drainage Impact Studies(DIS) for Roadway and Improvement, and/or drainage detailed design reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
Passed FE exam and either has a PE or is nearing completion of Texas licensure.
2 to 6 years of experience in H&H studies, floodplain impact analysis, and mitigation design.
Knowledge of local criteria in Houston area and vicinity, (COH, HCFCD, HCED, etc.).
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
HEC-HMS HEC-RAS (Steady & Unsteady), XP-SWMM/EPA-SWMM/ InfoWorks or similar software experience.
Knowledge of hydrological methods HEC-HMS, Rational method, Small Watershed Method.
SCS Hydrological Soils (NRCS).
Experience in HouStorm, HY-8, HydraFlow Express, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Sewer.
ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and extensions such as 3D Analyst.
Ability to prepare technical reports with supporting exhibits, tables, charts, and software output.
Office software including MS Office and Adobe Professional (or BlueBeam).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in TxDOT bridge, watershed evaluation and hydraulic projects.
Prior work on FEMA studies (LOMR, C-CLOMR, LOMR-F, CLOMR-F, LOMA etc.).
Spatial Analyst, HEC-GeoRAS, and HEC-GeoHMS experience.
Analysis, and OpenRoads SUDA .
Experience with HCFCDs M3 System and submittal guidelines.
2D analysis & modeling (HEC-RAS/ XPSWMM) software.
Required Skills

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited United States located university.
