Job Description

Objective :

As a Mortgage Underwriter, you are responsible for assessing the financial history of potential borrowers to determine their creditworthiness and the risk involved in extending them a mortgage loan.

Responsibilities :

Analyze mortgage loan applications and evaluate borrowers' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.

Ensure all mortgage transactions meet company policies and comply with federal and state regulations.

Collaborate with loan originators and processors to gather necessary information and documents.

Make loan eligibility decisions and set terms and conditions for approved loans.

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications.


Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.

2-4 years of experience in mortgage underwriting.

In-depth knowledge of underwriting procedures, creditor financial analysis techniques, and lending regulations.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
