    Founded by a service academy graduate who has offshore experience, Core Group Resources' expertise is unmatched in the marine offshore market, finance, IT, renewables, & non-profit for executive search, staffing, and expertise identification.*Director of Technical Operations Job Summary*We are seeking a Director of Technical Operations to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the company's fleet of vessels.

    This position encompasses the responsibilities typically held by a Fleet Engineer, with a focus on supporting Technical Superintendents and Procurement Managers in a maritime setting.

    *Director of Technical Operations Responsibilities
    • Support the vessel technical superintendents in areas of maintenance and planning.
    • Support and improve maintenance procedures, procurement procedures & training for company staff.
    • Serve as a member of management committees on special studies.
    • Review and advise on qualifications of technical staff and/or applicants as requested, including department head reviews.
    * and support the Director of Nautical Operations to ensure safe working practices are followed on company vessel.

    *Director of Technical Operations Position Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or 4 years related industry experience and/or training; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
